Local Businessman Wants to Bring Technology Wealth to Mississippi

“Why Should Silicon Valley Get All of the Tech Funding?”

 

 

Ocean Springs, MS (July 14, 2023) – Since the big fallout from the collapse of the Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) – technology start-up companies are leaving the Bay Area and spreading their wings to other states – including right here in

Mississippi.

Tom Coleman, a local businessman, wants to use his patented product to put Mississippi on the technology start-up map.

This patent is basically a bright lighting creation and a step above LED lighting as it is always cool to the touch, able to be fully charge in minutes.

On the technical side of things, his patent uses “Thin Film Technology”and  advanced electroluminescence.

“Why should Silicon Valley have all of the tech start-up funding and innovative reputation for new technology? We want to help Mississippi using this new patented product, which will help with personal lifestyles, professional needs, government signage- the uses are endless.” said Coleman.

Coleman said he also wants to find a way to help encourage other technology entrepreneurs to bring their business to Mississippi – and along with it – an increase in technology wealth for the state.

He said he is pushing for Mississippi to have its own technology boom and venture capital increase to help other tech entrepreneurs.

 

“We have a growing entrepreneurial spirit and an abundance of innovative people right here along the Gulf Coast,” Coleman said.
